2014 Earth Week Fair
Make plans to attend the eleventh annual Earth Week Fair at the QCCA Expo Center, 2621 4th Avenue, Rock Island.
Quad Cities Earth Week Coalition will once again hold two "School Days" in order to reach more students. The fair will be open to schools and home school families on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The fair will be open to the general public on Thursday, April 24 from 3-7 p.m. and admission is free of charge.
Pella Wildlife Company will present a program titled "Wild Dogs" featuring live foxes.The presentation features the Red Fox, Gray Fox and Arctic Fox. Each program will focus on species identification, social structure, habitats they are found in and how they interact with people. Students will also learn the importance of environmental stewardship and how our actions impact the habitats of wild dogs.
Pella will also be showcasing a live bear on the exhibitor floor.
